Your budget details

Your budget details

The budget details screen is where you change a single budget and see how you're tracking against it.

1. A quick summary

Open any income or expense budget to see the category, amount, rollover setting, colour, and emoji. You'll also see spend or income vs budget, your latest transactions, and a full list of transactions for that category.

If you opened a group, you can use Edit categories & amounts to add or remove budgets in the group.

2. Open a budget

On the Budget screen, tap the budget name. You can also change the amount on the list without opening details.

3. Edit your details

Tap a field to change:

  • Amount
  • Rollover budget - tap Yes if leftover or overspend should carry forward, then pick a start date
  • Colour and emoji

Whether an amount change applies to this period only, or this period and all future periods, is set in Budget settings.

If this expense is a regular set-aside, mark the category as savings instead of treating it as spending. Read How savings categories work.

4. Delete a budget

Tap the bin icon in the top right. You can delete just the budget, or both the category and the budget. This can't be undone.

Deleting a group only ungroups the budgets. They stay in the main list.

5. Spend vs budget, or income vs budget

This widget shows how the actuals compare with the amount you set, including any rollover. A badge appears when rollover is on. Tap it to see last period's rollover, this period's budget, actual, and what's left.

6. Latest transactions

Your five most recent transactions in this category appear here. Tap See all for the full list. You can search, switch monthly or quarterly, and tap a transaction to open it.

Uncategorised transactions won't count toward this budget, so leftover can look higher than it really is until you categorise them.
