How to use the Dashboard

How to use the Dashboard

‍

Showing all your finances on one screen has never been so easy. In this guide, we'll walk you through all the ins and outs of how to understand the dashboard and get the most out of it.Β

‍

1. A quick summary

‍

The dashboard is designed to bring snippets of each feature within the app onto one screen, so you can quickly get that one view of everything without having to spend time digging into information any further. We recommend making the dashboard your starting point to understand your finances, and once you get that overview, you can choose to dive deeper into different features if you'd like to.Β

‍

2. Sorting, removing & adding widgets

‍

Sorting widgets: You can sort widgets by tapping the sort symbol up on the top right corner of the dashboard. Once you've tapped on it, you'll see a pop-up appear where your dashboard widget names will be displayed. To sort your dashboard widgets, simply hold down on the hamburger menu icon on the right-hand side and then drag the widget either up or down in order, depending on your preference. Once you've finished sorting your widgets, simply tap the exit symbol, and you'll see them sorted according to your preference.Β

‍

‍

Removing widgets: You can remove widgets by tapping the sort symbol as well. Once the sort pop-up appears, tap on the red delete symbol, as highlighted below. Once you've removed a widget from your dashboard, it's then added to the add widgets screen if you ever want to add it back to the dashboard.Β

‍

‍

Adding widgets: You can add widgets that you've removed by tapping the + symbol up in the top right corner of the left screen. Once you tap the plus symbol, you'll see all the widgets you can add to the dashboard that you may have removed or even new ones that we've released. To add a widget to the dashboard, tap the + symbol on the top right corner of the widget, as highlighted on the right-hand side of the of the screen below.Β

‍

‍

3. Total balance

‍

Your total balance takes into account all the account balances for the accounts you have connected or set up manually. To view all your balances and select which ones you want included in the total balance, tap the drop-down arrow on the bottom right corner of the widget. You'll now see a list of all your accounts. To select which accounts you want included in the total balance, simply turn the toggle on or off. Once you're done, tap the arrow again, and this will close the dropdown.

‍

‍

4. Income vs expenses

‍

Your income vs. expenses widget takes into account all the categorised income and expense transactions within the time period options available. All transactions that aren't categorised or are categorised as 'Ignore' or 'Transfer' aren't included in this widget's calculations.

‍

To select which period you'd like to see, tap on the widget, and you'll see a dropdown appear where you can select this week, this month, last week, or last month. Once you've selected which period you'd like to show, tap on the widget again to close the drop-down.

‍

5. Filtering different time periods

‍

On most widgets on the top right-hand side, you'll see a green tile indicating a certain time period. You can select these and change the time periods of data you'd like to see. Let's use the top 5 expenses for an example, if you'd like to change the time period, simply tap on the green tile saying 'This week'.

‍

Now a pop-up will appear at the bottom where you'll be presented with different filter options. Your already selected option is filled with green, and unselected options aren't filled with green, as highlighted in red below. To select a different option, simply tap on it, and you'll then see your data for that specific time period.

‍

TIP: To ensure these filters are saved and do not reset each time you log in, enable Face ID or PIN login.
