How to edit your goal details

How to edit your goal details

‍

Need to change a target date, switch which accounts are linked, or hide a goal you've finished? Here's how to edit, archive, or delete a goal.

‍

1. Open the goal

‍

On the Goals screen, tap the goal card or See detail. That opens the goal details screen, with a preview of the goal at the top.

‍

2. Edit your details

‍

Tap any field to change what you entered when you created the goal:

‍

  • Name
  • Goal dollar value - use $0 if this is a pay-off goal
  • Target date
  • Frequency - this updates how much we show to put aside each period
  • Link to an account? - tap Yes to pick or change accounts, or tap No to enter the current balance yourself
  • Colour and emoji

‍

If accounts are linked, the current balance comes from those accounts. Unlink them if you want to type the balance in again.

‍

3. Save changes

‍

Tap the green Save changes button at the bottom. To leave without saving, tap the exit icon in the top right.

‍

4. Archive or delete a goal

‍

Archive - hides the goal from the main list without deleting it. Tap the archive icon in the top right, then use the archive icon on the Goals screen to show archived goals. From there you can restore a goal if you need it again. Archived goals show (archived) next to the name and don't have a status badge.

‍

Delete - removes the goal for good. Tap the bin icon in the top right, then confirm. This can't be undone.
