How to create an account

Creating an account is super simple. Here in this guide, we'll walk you through every step of how to sign up and create your BudgetBuddie account.

1. Where to sign up:

‍You can sign up with us either at account.budgetbuddie.com or you can directly download the app from the App Store or Play Store.

2. Different ways to sign up:

Signing up using account.budgetbuddie.com:

‍‍

• Start by entering your name, email, and password. After completing these steps and agreeing to our terms and privacy policy, simply select 'Sign up.'
• On the Select Your Plan screen, make the choice between a free trial or a paid plan. Opting for the free trial will immediately create your account without needing a payment method. For a paid plan, proceed to Stripe for payment, and upon successful processing of your payment, we'll then redirect you back to BudgetBuddie to confirm your account is set up.
• Once your accounts created, download the app from the app/play store. When you first download the app you may be presented with the sign up screen, if this is the case simply tap 'Already have an account?  Login'. Now log in with your initial credentials to get started. You can read more on getting started here.

Signing up using the app:

Note: Signing up via the mobile app will initiate your free trial immediately, we currently do not offer the option to select a paid plan if you sign up via the mobile app.

• After downloading the app, you'll see the sign-up screen. On the odd occasion, you may see the login screen instead; if so, just simply tap 'New to BudgetBuddie? Sign up' to start.
• On the sign-up screen, enter your name, email, and password. Accept our terms, then tap 'Sign up.'
• Your free trial begins right after signing up. Now follow the get-started screens to set up everything before exploring your finances. You can read more on getting started. here.

3. Complete set up:

Upon successfully creating your account, you'll be taken through the get-started screens, where you'll need to verify your email, connect your accounts, and set up your budget. Then, once you've completed the setup, you can explore the app.
