Connect to Sharesies

Connect your Sharesies account to BudgetBuddie and securely sync your balances and holdings, the same account you manage via the Sharesies app or Sharesies NZ online platform. Supported account types:

• Sharesies Investment Account (NZ, AU, US Shares & ETFs)
• Sharesies Wallet
• Sharesies Savings Account
• Sharesies KiwiSaver Account

How to get connected

‍

1. Log in to your BudgetBuddie account.
2. Go to the Connect accounts section.
3. Choose Sharesies from the list of available connections.
4. Follow the prompts to securely log in using your Sharesies details.
5. Select the accounts you want to connect.
6. Authorise the connection then you’re done!

How we handle security

‍

When you connect your accounts to BudgetBuddie, your security is our top priority.

‍

We use Akahu, New Zealand’s trusted open banking platform, to manage all connections. All data is encrypted end-to-end and BudgetBuddie never sees or stores your online banking or platform passwords.

‍

Once connected, BudgetBuddie accesses read-only information including balances, transactions, and account details so we can never move money or make changes to your accounts, ever. You can view and revoke access to any connection at any time via the connect accounts feature.
